It's the end of July and I've not written any posts about the incredible thirty-five weddings we've performed for! I am obviously woefully behind at this point, but I wanted to do a post featuring just a few of the incredible vendors we've had a chance to work with so far this year!
The first event I want to highlight was the Detroit Gets Married wedding show that we were a part of this past April. Detroit Gets Married is the city’s very first interactive wedding event. Every year the event is hosted in a unique and new venue to use as a backdrop to showcase an incredible mock wedding reception. The event allows brides and grooms-to-be, as well as their family and friends, to dress up for a night of food, drinks and dancing.
Wedding planner Kyle Ann Trombley of Kyle Ann Design does an absolutely incredible job of putting together this event each year, and we are so thrilled we were able to be a part of it.
We have some beautiful photos of our string quartet that were taken by Chelsea Brown of Chelsea Brown Photography and Derek Cookson of Derek Cookson Photography
Back in May, our string duet played at a beautiful ceremony in Napoleon, OH. Hannah and Joe were a fantastic couple to work with and they had all sorts of really fun music requests! Some of what we played included:
I'm yours- Jason Miraz
All Of Me- John Legend
I Can't Help Falling In Love- Elvis
Hallelujah- Jeff Buckley
You're Still The One- Shania Twain
Make You Feel My Love- Adelle
From This Moment On- Shania Twain
Marry Me- Train
So much fun! Their church wedding was beautiful and the day was one to remember!
White Pines Entertainment was everything I could have asked for! Michelle is so easy to communicate with and the music is BEAUTIFUL! -Hannah D., Napoleon, Ohio
On May 19th, we were back out at one of our favorite venues: The English Inn of Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Right outside of Lansing, this beautiful brick bed and breakfast is situated on some of the prettiest gardens and grounds we get to perform at!
Catherine and Blake had rain on their wedding day, but that didn't stop them from celebrating outdoors amidst the gorgeous scenery! Our string quartet played selections ranging from the classic and timeless Pachelbel's Canon, to Walk the Moon Shut Up And Dance for their recessional!
Despite the rain, Ester Cobe of Ester Cobe Photography was able to get some incredibly gorgeous shots. We always love working at the English Inn because they are phenomenal in their coordination, but they also attract the highest level of vendors. She is no exception. Her work is flawless, and I feel so lucky that I was able to see the entire album from Catherine and Blake's wedding!
It's been an incredible year so far with weddings ranging from St. Joseph, Michigan to Mackinac Island and back again! We can't wait to perform for all of our amazing late summer and fall weddings, and I promise I am going to be better about showcasing some of our favorites here on the blog!
until next time,
michelle
