Back in September, our string duet had the chance to perform for a beautiful rustic wedding in Davisburg, MI.
Chelsie and Ryan were married at the historic Ellis Barn and the moment we entered, we were so excited to have the chance to play in the space. The 14,000 square foot barn was built in 1884, but has been rehabilitated and is a truly unique setting. There are gorgeous wood walls, and a beautifully kept stone floor. The entire ceremony was put together with such care and precision with perfect tinkling lights strung about, and rustic wood signs set out at each row of chairs.
We arrived early so that we had a chance to rehearse with a friend of the bride who was planning on singing two songs during service and we tried to get some pictures of the space!
It is always so wonderful when we get to perform with someone else special to the bride. It just adds an extra special memory to the entire day! Rayechel was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. We performed two special pieces of music; How Great Thou Art, and Holy Spirit during the bride and groom's communion.
After the ceremony, we continued playing through the cocktail hour. Guests were able to mingle, and enjoy the sunshine outside while playing some cornhole! We played everything from Rufus Wainwright Hallelujah, to Sting Fields of Gold, and had a blast!
We are so happy we got to share this perfect day with Chelsie and Ryan. They were a dream couple to work with, and we wish them the best in a long, happy, and fulfilling marriage.
until next time!
