I truly can’t believe that summer is almost over. Summer weddings are always so much fun in Michigan. The outdoor blue skies, perfect weather, and gorgeous colors make playing them just a blast!
White Pines Entertainment performed for over thirty weddings this summer and I wanted to make sure to showcase some images from some of our favorites! We worked with some fantastic vendor friends again, and met new amazing folks who are just wonderful at what they do. It is always so fun to feature the work of other wedding pros!
Vinology is a hidden gem of a venue in downtown Ann Arbor. We have been lucky enough to be on their feature vendor list for a couple of years now, and we always love playing music in their grotto-like lower level. It is a very small and intimate space for a wedding but it is also perfectly subtle and elegant.
Daniel Winnick, one of our solo violinists, performed there for a beautiful wedding ceremony this past June and I just loved seeing some of the photos of him from Stephanie Kaslly! The exposed brick walls are just to die for!
To view more of Stephanie’s work, hop on over to her own blog here! She has some really fantastic posts up about choosing the right venue, finding a makeup artist, and other great, helpful tips for planning your wedding! (Not to mention the incredible photography she’s done!)
The Community House in Birmingham, Michigan is a venue that was new to us this year, but one that we’ve now played at twice in the past few months! It is a fantastic venue right in the heart of downtown Birmingham. They have a wonderful outside setup underneath a large event tent, but they also have a stunning ballroom upstairs to accommodate dinner.
Our string duet played a wedding ceremony and cocktail hour here this past August and we had a great time working with the staff to make the day perfect!
We performed some classical favorites for the ceremony including Pachelbel Canon and Bach Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desire. Then we switched it up for the cocktail hour and played some of the couples favorite light standards, like Elvis Can’t Help Falling In Love With You and Rufus Wainwright Hallelujah.
Matt Mollan is another photographer who we just met this year, but he does just stunning work. Check out his portfolio here to see some of the incredible events he has documented!
The Royal Park Hotel has always been a favorite venue for us. This site is just perfect for a fairy tale wedding! From the incredible overhead crystal chandelier in the conservatory, to the hand-carved Italian fountain, it is exquisitely romantic. It is also a wonderful alternative to a more standard outdoor wedding—the walls are all clear glass you you feel as though you are outside while still experiencing the comfortable indoor air conditioning and protection from the elements!
White Pines Entertainment had a harp and violin duet out performing for this stunning wedding in August, and Theresa Finck of Theresa Finck Photography captured some beautiful images of the pair.
If you want to see more images from this Rochester wedding, head on over to Theresa’s post about it here! (I highly recommend clicking through—she captured some beautifully romantic moments between the couple!)
